Rustic split bamboo slat fences have been used for centuries in many regions of the world where bamboo is available. It can be used on its own or attached to cover a chain link fence for added beauty and privacy. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Bamboo slats or split bamboo fences are woven together with black nylon coated wire, as opposed to other split bamboo slat fences in the market that usually tie their fences with bare metal wire exposing unsightly metal and rust. The fence is semi-opaque, which provides some privacy. The unique color of the bamboo slats makes it one of the most gorgeous and striking, looking bamboo fences on the market today. The bamboo slats we use are about 1/2" wide. They are packed in a roll for convenience in shipping and setting up. Due to the natural material used, the color will vary and may not look exactly like the photos shown. These fences are not solid, and you WILL be able to see through them.

This worked absolutely perfect for my purposes! I did have to hire somebody to install them for me. They are heavy when they come in the role so it does take two people to attach it to the fence. Most other reed fences on the market are made with non-polished reed with husk. This fence is NOT opaque. You would need to double or triple it for total coverage. It is very light and thin but makes a great covering or accent for your home.

Black bamboo has culms that are green when they first emerge from the ground, and within months they acquire the natural black color with dark-brown patches that give this bamboo a beautiful, rich, appearance. The culms of this bamboo are used extensively in Japanese woodworking and are excellent for indoor and outdoor decoration. Our Timor black timber bamboo poles come in an average of 2-3 inches in diameter. They are made up of a thick wall of heavy bamboo and are crack-resistant. Color and actual diameter will vary due to the natural material. We cannot guarantee a specific diameter of each pole, only that they will be between the diameter of 2-3 inches. Bamboo poles may also have different diameters at either end, this is due to the way bamboo grows.

On a whole, I like this panel. It ws very easy to assemble, and I love the look of the wood and the black metal together. My biggest issue was the fact that they sent an incorrect piece instead of one of the spacers, and it would have been way to much trouble to get them to replace it, so I had to make due on my own. It can be used on its own or attached to cover a chain link fence for added beauty and privacy. They are inexpensive and easy to install. The bamboo slats or split bamboo fences are woven together with black nylon coated wire, as opposed to other split bamboo slat fences in the market that usually tie their fences with bare metal wire exposing unsightly metal and rust. The fence is semi-opaque, which provides some privacy. The bamboo slats used are about 1/2" wide. They are packed in a roll for convenience in shipping and setting up.

This fencing consists of thick bamboo shoots connected with thin metal rods. The 6 by 8 fencing weighs over 80 pounds so it was somewhat difficult to handle. It does not come with any way to attach it to posts or support. My goal was to zip tie the fencing to metal posts along my property line so that I could cover the view of the side of my neighbor’s garage. I hoped to add a decorative touch to my garden area. Getting the fencing unboxed and set up required two people because of the weight. It is well made but it didn’t really solve my particular problem. I’m unsure how I’ll use the fencing now. It’s too heavy to move around easily. I’m also concerned it won’t hold up well to Chicago winter weather. Be prepared to figure out a way to support the fencing. For what it is, it’s well made.. This quality constructed bamboo fencing is crack-resistant and durable, which makes it excellent for outdoor use. The naturally straight and compact form makes it less porous, which makes for excellent privacy fencing or screening in commercial properties or residential homes. This bamboo fencing comes in a roll, so it is flexible and easy to set up in tight spaces, on a sloping or uneven landscape.

Exactly what I needed. We wanted to put up a small accent wall / privacy fence between our house and neighbor's house and this was perfect. I framed it out with some pressure treated wood and dark stain to make it pop and ah was well I've seen a lot of complaints about the size but this roll was 6' high, dead-on, and it was easy to remove the pieces to get the length I needed.
