I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. Pretty well constructed. Everything fit together nicely. Directions are a bit vague at times. But my 16 year old daughter assembled it completely on her own with the tools provided in the kit. Vintage distressed iron mesh candle holders add warm French country charm to tabletops mantels and entryway displays

I was personally disappointed with my Birdcage. It is dented in 2 places. It did not come packaged well enough to sustain anything that might go wrong in shipping. The other disappointment was color. I pictured it to be dark in color and it is a lighter grey. Not at all the color depicted in the photo. It’s very light weight. I’m not happy as it’s expensive. I will go with my instinct and buy from the local antique shop. They have the true vintage items for sometimes the same or even better price.
