This generously sized teapot has a 38 oz (1000 ml) capacity. Two tea cups with a capacity of 14.5 fl.oz Each piece is individually packaged in its own gift box, with separate boxes for the mugs and the teapot. The boxes alone look like a gift. This set is enchanting. My children had a British father, so tea was very prominent in our family. This set seemed so whimsical to me that I knew I had to get it for my daughter and I to have a cuppa together in her new place. I believe it will become a keepsake. The pot is small, but it is tea for two. The "tea cups" are more like a cross between a mug and a tea cup without a saucer. The cup feels lovely in the hand. The handle is easy to hold. The D-shape pothole makes the lid doesn't fall off when you pour. Easy to clean. Simply flush the inside with water and use a wet cloth to wipe surfaces. Do remember not to put them in microwave because of its gold trim
