Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. I had very specific criteria I was looking for in an everyday table. I wanted a pedestal base, an oval or round top with a leaf, cream/off-white with a dark wood top. it either had to match my existing chairs or have chairs without fabric. I also had a budget in mind. I know I'm extremely picky. I have been looking on and off for the right table for almost 4 years. Even after I order the table I texted my husband and said I'm probably going to hate it. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived unexpectedly early on Saturday morning and we put it together easily. 2 bolts per foot and 4 bolts for the top. nothing was damaged in shipping and the table is an almost perfect match to the existing pieces in the room. The base is a little more on the white/gray side then cream but in the shade of the table its not noticeable. We will most likely always have the leaf in but the mechanism worked fine and everything fit together well and it feels sturdy. Great table. Note that the instructions were not correct when affixing the legs to the table top. Diagram shows the extension leaf in the table top. WOW!!! I love the table but there is a definite stability issue. I warn anyone sitting down or standing next to it to NOT PUT ANY PRESSURE ON THE TABLE FOR FEAR IT WILL TIP OVER. That’s SAD. I did put a beveled glass top on it hoping the weight would help to stabilize it. I still don’t trust it at all and I make sure anything sitting on the table is placed at the center.
