These chairs are compact but sturdy. I love the Mid Century Modern look to them. Unboxing was a bit frustrating—the Styrofoam crumbled everywhere, creating quite a mess, and the screws were taped to it, which made cleanup even more difficult when removing them. During assembly, pieces F and G (the lower cross bracing) were especially tricky to align, and many of the screws didn’t line up easily with the predrilled holes. Step 10 was particularly challenging, as there were no predrilled holes for those screws, making installation much harder than expected. I give this table/chair set 2 stars due to 1) the quality and condition of the pieces received, mostly related to the chairs and 2) the difficulty in assembling. Several pieces arrived chipped or with the wood deformed, making one of the chairs impossible to put together. We had to send this chair back. For several of the other chairs in this set we had to buy a wood pen to color in the chipped areas. It was disappointing to buy a new table set and have it look like it had been used. Separately, assembly took awhile to figure out as none of the individual pieces were labeled and the diagram did not show accurate renderings of the pieces. This led to many stops and re-dos before we finally got it right. Overall I would question the quality control on this product and would neither purchase again nor recommend.. Anonymous. This is my second time purchasing this set. The first set lasted seven years and three moves. I have nothing bad to say- the set up is easy and we didn’t run into any issues. I built the chairs myself which took about 1.5 hours for all four. My husband built the table which took him about an hour. All the pieces are very sturdy and good quality. Around year five we added some extra screws to the table base, but this was probably only needed due to disassembling and reassembling the table multiple times.
