Wax Ring Was Terrible The included wax ring was low quality — it crumbled and failed to form a proper seal. I had to replace it with a better aftermarket wax ring to stop slow leaks and reduce odors. This added time and cost to the install that shouldn’t be necessary. Buy a high-quality wax ring with a rubber gasket or flange before installation — it’s almost essential with this toilet. One major let-down was the toilet seat lid It’s made of thin plastic that doesn’t feel sturdy. It flexes too much and doesn’t give a sense of durability. Compared to higher-end soft-close seats, this feels like the weakest part of the whole toilet. Side Screw Covers Do Not Fit This was one of the most frustrating parts The side covers that are supposed to hide the mounting screws do not fit. They won’t snap on or screw on properly. As a result, the mounting screws are fully visible, which ruins the clean, finished look the toilet is supposed to have This feels like a design or manufacturing defect, not user error.. Kim. I’ve used it for two days and am still getting used to not having to touch the toilet for anything like open and closing the lid or flushing. The toilet was very easy to install and is a great DIY project. I would recommend having two people for the installation, mainly because of the weight of the toilet. It comes with a new wax ring and all the supplies needed for installation. We did end up needing a second wax ring, so I would recommend having one on hand just in case. We initially installed it with the included wax ring but noticed a small leak. After installing a second wax ring, everything worked perfectly. The toilet has two flush buttons—one for liquids and one for solids. The flush is quick, and the tank refills quickly as well.
