These pendant lights completely transformed my kitchen, and I could not be happier with them. I was looking for something that felt elegant and unique while still working with the warm, cottage-style look of my kitchen, and these are absolutely perfect. They make a beautiful statement without feeling oversized or overwhelming above the island. The glass is definitely my favorite part. The cut-glass design is gorgeous both when the lights are turned on and when they are off. When illuminated, the glass catches and reflects the light beautifully and gives off such a warm, inviting glow. I also love the antique brass detailing. It gives the pendants a vintage-inspired look while still feeling polished and updated. They have so much more character than the basic pendant lights I was originally considering. These are lovely lights. I purchased 3 to hang from a high cathedral ceiling. The fabric has a very soft pattern that I believe helps to diffuse the light. Although the fabric appears a bright white, and depending on the bulbs you pick, when they are on, it is soft and muted. We put ours on a dimmer, and they can be bright or a really soft accent. At night, stunning. These are very elegant and I feel they can be used in any setting from mid century, to traditional. In my case, it is transitional. These are semi flush mount, and I needed them to hang about 3 feet lower, so we were able to find matching brass rods and the connectors and it looks wonderful. Great value. All 3 arrived well packaged and no damage.. Charisse. Scottsville, VA. Sun Jul 19 2026

A throwback to one of Irvin's popular early designs, our store lamp includes the glass globe.

I was a little worried about getting these because they only had 1 Review…. But I got two for a Bunk Room I just designed at our lake house. The are ABSOLUTELY perfect! I love the nostalgic, gas lantern look to them. They were packaged incredibly well, a great size and sturdy … they are just adorable. I love that the metal plate over the light has tiny holes to let the light come though a little on the ceiling. In the picture on Wayfair the glass under the lantern looks white due to the white shiplap behind it … but it’s actually thick, clear glass. These are even better in person. I highly recommend these adorable lanterns And putting them on a Dimmer switch if you can. It’s so nice to be able to turn them up bright or really dim for a nice atmosphere. I may put the light bulbs in them that look like flickering flames. You won’t regret buying these!. Kristi. Gainesville, GA. Sat Dec 27 2025

In the early 1920s, exposed-bulb light fixtures were jettisoned in favor of opaque glass globes that disguised the light source. These pieces found popularity predominantly in schoolhouses, giving this style its name. Here, we start with a classic schoolhouse glass shape and take it up a notch with lovely fluting that beautifully diffuses the light. The uncomplicated metalwork and the iconic glass shape call to mind a time when the world seemed a simpler place.
