I bought it in walnut. It looks really nice and seems very sturdy. I put it together my self (55F) over the course of a few hours after work with no issues. The only issue I had was that it had a defect in the glaze on front. The manufacturer offered a nice discount, so I decided to keep it. Very pretty. Instructions were clear, but I also put together a lot of furniture. Easy to follow if you know what you’re doing. Took a couple hours, but the longest part was trying to get the doors completely even after they were installed. I see a lot of other people say that theirs are not even, but the hinges are designed to be movable up and down, in and out, etc.. This piece is absolutely stunning and has made our living room feel so much more elevated and polished. Assembly was surprisingly easy and took about an hour and fifteen minutes. The top section, including the drawers, comes fully assembled, which saves a tremendous amount of time. Having a large space to lay out all the parts before starting definitely helps with the process. The storage capacity is fantastic, with plenty of room to tuck away items while still looking beautiful. Its versatility is another huge plus. It would work wonderfully as an entry table, dining buffet, TV console, or traditional sideboard. The finish, quality, and overall appearance exceeded my expectations. The only thing worth noting is that it does have a fairly strong stain or finish odor when first assembled. I would recommend letting it air out in a garage or covered outdoor area for a few days before bringing it inside. Once aired out, it is well worth it. Failed Instructions!! Step 15 has you attach part 14 to the L/R sides which then have to be connected to the base. If you are assembling this solo you DO NOT want to do this as you then have to lift the thing upright. Unless your outstretched arms are wide enough to grasp both ends you will (as i did) end up with a damaged piece as the screw tears through. Instead you one can easily place the base onto the floor on all 4 feet, THEN attach the L/R sides to the base, and finally fit that piece 14 in. The damage is not visible, but it obviously compromises the structural integrity of the piece should it need to be moved. Failing in instructions, which btw, were missing the last 2 pages. Multiple pieces also had the finish worn/peeling off. However, I got this on a super sale for $204 so despite these failings, I am very pleased overall. Looks amazing.. Alice. Brooklyn, NY. This side board is gorgeous in peron. I purchased two of them to serve as a long TV console with the TV mounted on the wall just above it. The color is rich. The shelves are spacious. I added a few wooden baskets inside to keep stuff neat. Note, the entire piece isnt wooden but the legs and front are. It took the installer about 2hrs to put both pieces together. This piece is sturdy and just as pictured. I appreciated that I was able to adjust the door hinges to make the doors line up perfectly with the drawers. The drawers open close smoothly. So the function is great, and I really like how it looks in my space! One star deducted because the laminate finish has a distinctive knot that is repeated in 3 places on the front of the unit (on 2 drawer fronts and a door). It's not really noticeable at a glance, but once you see it, it's obvious that this isn't a real wood surface. I'm sure the laminate placement is random and I just got unlucky though.. Amy. Exactly what I wanted. I was fortunate enough that my church has a toolbox ministry and several men who do things for seniors and two of the guys came and put this together for me. They had absolutely no trouble although for two of them, it did take them almost 3 hours. But it’s put together perfectly. There were a few screws missing but they had some to make up for those. Very, very pleased with this, exactly what I was looking for and it goes quite well with the pantry I bought from Wayfair that stands next to it, another piece that I absolutely love and could not do without..
