This bed was very easy to build. I built it by myself with maybe an hour a little bit more than an hour. The instructions will clear on how to use all the materials that they packed into the back of the headboard. The only thing that wasn’t clear was where to put the slats when you were adding that in but again you can use your best judgment of where to add in the screws. Despite having a few issues with the order, overall I am satisfied with my purchase. The bed arrived with a broken front light cable and one of the front boards was slightly damaged. I contacted customer service, and they helped resolve the issue in less than two days. We glued the damaged board and repaired the light cable ourselves so the lights would work properly. In the end, the bed looks as good as new—you have to look very closely to notice the repairs. The bed is beautiful, has side drawers just like shown in the pictures, and it was not difficult to assemble. Despite the initial issues, I am happy with the final result and would recommend it.. I am obsessed with this bed. I did do this partly by myself and that was easy up until adding the side panels to the headboard and then my husband let me use his tools instead of the tiny little "L" thing they include with the kit. My husband also ended up helping me with the main frame **PAY ATTENTION on those directions for the frame! If you mess up ONE single pole, you have to remove almost all the bolts to fix it..
