The Prestow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Available in either white and gray, cream and oak or oak. This product is real wood and so it will age, which can result in colour variations.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. The box is around 30lbs so wasn’t too heavy and the instructions were easy to follow and took about an hour including unpacking with two people assembling it. I ordered two small chairs for seating. This is a cute table! It’s sturdy and has clean straight lines. I have a small eating area so needed smaller table and this works nicely. This table obviously does not look like a high end table but for the price point it is excellent and will work perfectly for my needs. It’s a nice neutral color and you can easily pair any chairs with it. I recommend looking for chairs with a more narrow seat to fit under the table and I had white chairs from my last kitchen set which did not look good. But i love the way the painted chairs look with it- they play off each other well. Ok let's talk chairs! When using in a rental upholstery is a nightmare and solid would is so heavy. I wanted something with cushion, not bulky, easy to wipe off and would fit and move nicely in and out around the table. These are the chairs you want! I'm going to use my table as a desk as well as for meals, so I wanted a table with legs for extra stability, and I was surprised to find out it's difficult to find a 40-42" table with legs that doesn't look extremely basic. LOVE this table!!!! It’s a little smaller than my old table which is perfect. The chairs I had go perfect with it. Love the drawers on the ends , and the nook in the table stand. Lots of compliments.
