First, the Good the chair looks great and is a fantastic option for a small room. The bottom cushion is soft and supports me at a 200 pounds. I love the fold out side table on the right. The mechanism is solid and very stable. It’s easy to put together, and is solidly built. The not so good it’s small. It does not sit that high off the ground so make sure you look at the measurements before purchasing. I am 6’2” and my knees bend up as the seat is lower than a traditional chair. Also, I’ve tried my best to love it as it does look good in the space, but it’s just not a comfortable chair. The back does not have a lot of padding and is very stiff. The armrest are more narrow than my wrist so you can’t put anything on it. I think if this is a chair to put in a small space, and will not be used often, then this is a perfect buy. I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet. Beautiful look and color of chair! Traditional style and lines. However I think there is a flaw in the design. Others said in reviews that it was a very deep chair. The bottom cushion is very firm, almost overstuffed and the back cushion is very soft. So when you sit down, you create an opening between the top cushion and bottom cushion of at least 1-2 inches. You can touch the back wood of the chair with your fingers. My low back was not supported at all then. Tried adding a small pillow and that made it somewhat better. Very deep seat which is nice if you’re putting your feet up, but otherwise my feet did not touch the ground (5 ft 6 in). The leather is very good quality. It's comfortable. I'm a little short so when I sit back my feet don't touch the floor due to the depth of the chair. I'm fine with it like that. I like using 2 throw pillows behind me. I have my sofa on risers, so I also have my wonderful new chair on risers. We only had to bolt the legs on. Each leg has 4 screws to secure them. Ive wanted a sling chair for a long time now and this one did not disappoint. It is very comfy – everybody loves it. This includes the cat and the dogs, lol. It is comfortable from the beginning without having to be broken in. Its one of those chairs that you can lay back and take a nap in.
