Value Overall a nice dresser for the price if you can catch it on sale. I also took the additional 10 discount for keeping the item with the drawer box damages. (I tried to get new boxes but they said it had to be completely returned, and I didnt want to deal with the hassle.) 2 of the 6 had some damage or weren’t well built, but for the price, it’s a chance I was willing to take because I love the visual. The drawers have to be pressed completely shut, but that doesn’t bother me since I read the reviews and expected that. Visually I would call it more of a mahogany look. The hardware is not cheap gold which I appreciate. Theres a little brass discoloration if you look closely, but no one would notice. I also chose not to put the feet on it so it could be lower for my son’s room. (The exposed corner technically doesn’t match the wood grain, but I’ll get some touch up pen to take care of that.). The color is perfect, although the wood grain is painted on rather than real wood and some color rubbed off when I removed a scuff that was on the front of a drawer when I unboxed it. I bought both the 7 drawer and the 4 drawer dressers from this set and the 7 drawer dresser was much easier to assemble. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment this dresser arrived from Stellar Product Testing Panel I just knew it was going to be a quality piece because it was so very heavy! I am so thankful to have been selected to test out this particular piece as I am blessed with a precious baby girl, and all the girl mamas know that means I am also blessed with loads and loads of clothes!! But even with her current size (6-9 months) plus sizes up to 3T, we have barely made a dent in the space in this dresser! The drawers are huge and deep. I found it easiest to purchase drawer organizers to fully use the space it affords since baby girl's clothes are so small right now but this dresser will easily follow her through high school (and beyond if she chooses to lug it to college or whatever she chooses! Did I mention this is HEAVY?) Now, I won't lie, putting this together was a bit of a monster, but thankfully I had my husband's help. The instructions were clear visuals but we will have to get the materials to anchor to wall as it only came with the parts to attach the anti tip to the dresser but not the actual wall. We used an electric screwdriver and I think it helped cut down time for assembly. Overall it is a beautiful piece of furniture, and the deep navy color does not feel overly masculine. When the box arrived it was torn, after taking inventory everything was there. The pieces were all just laid in the box not wrapped. The instructions were not written well but, once everything was assembled it is a nice sturdy dresser with a changing pad. Got the 6 drawer dresser in black. I have been looking for a while a dresser with deep drawers. The depth of the drawers is a really valuable attributes of this piece. The drawers are wood which is a nice touch.There is so much detail in this dresser the drawer fronts are square while the top and sides have a subtle bevel. The contrasting legs are a nice touch. Overall the style is modern and would look good with modern farmhouse mid centry modern styles. I got the black version which looks really nice with a smooth black finish with a subtle sheen. It is very heavy due to the amount of wood. Installation was challenging. Its doable for 1 person but the weight and size of the pieces make it a slower process. The hardward is labelled but comes in a bubble pack which was labelled on the front but access in the back. Also the drawers are not full extension which is frustrating but not uncommon these days.
