They look beautiful, but they are difficult to install which drives up the overall cost. The little pieces fall out. The real Crema Marfil is quarried near Alicante, Spain, and is technically limestone. However, it is widely labeled as a Marble because it can be polished to a high shine. It has a subtle beige veined background and is an excellent material if you are looking for a gentle warm neutral color palette. Please beware of less expensive options on the market quarried often from Turkey, Indonesia, Egypt, or China as they have less desirable yellow, pink or red hues. Its jade-like appearance adds just the right amount of elegance to your project. In addition, the soft green color palette of mosaics is perfect for a relaxed beach-themed look.
