I just got this rug Friday and put it down on Saturday night. The dogs ran on it and it looked a little dingy. It is very soft though and they love to lay on it. It looks luxurious and has a fairly high pile. It says it is made with propylene plastic so I wonder if it is made from recycled pop bottles. If so, that is a great way to recycle. The backing is made of propylene and is a non-slip material. So, your rug will stay in one place. It is supposed to be non-shedding and machine woven. It does look very plush. The pile height is 0.3''. This rug would look beautiful anywhere. But you might want to avoid a high traffic area due to the light color. It says it is pet friendly so I guess I will find out. ****UPDATE: My son ran a carpet cleaner on a stain.
