This is a work in progress. I’m so far very happy with the quality of this range hood. The look is what attracted me to it. I wanted something modern but not too common. I will need to follow up with more pics after is fully installed. It is quite heavy so I’m reinforcing my ceiling just to make sure it is very secure. This is a beautiful, sleek looking range hood. It has great features and is very well made. The convertible option is huge for those of us who don't currently have a vented hood. It is heavy but installation looks like it will be straight forward. My installation is delayed since I have to remove cabinets over the stove, find the backsplash tiles that current end at the bottom of the cabinet and continue it up before installing the hood. This thing is fancy! It even has a remote control! I love that you can change the fan speeds and the light intensity with a simple touch. It took a bit to install it and I had to get a reducer for the duct because previously we had 7" and this was 6". It is very quiet and you can have a conversation with it on, which was next to impossible with my old vent hood. I really like this. Nice unit. Relatively easy to install with 2 people. 1st unit damaged and refunded. 2nd unit better but still some hidden cosmetic damage to the hood. Hood could be thicker metal to prevent this, and QC needs better eyes out the door. This is such a nice range hood. I love the sleek, upscale design. It has all the bells and whistles. It has a touch panel, a remote, timer, and LED lights. The fan has 4 speeds, and although it’s not loud, it’s also not quiet. I had mine professionally installed. Per the installer, it wasn’t difficult to install. CRAZY AMAZING! This is such a high-quality stainless steel range hood, and what great convenience that is convertible! You have you ever been in the situation where you bought the wrong appliance, it’s all unboxed and you’re installing it and realize oh darn! The pieces are extremely heavy and will require two people to mount that that’s pretty common with any very good range hood. Definitely stainless steel quality, the craftsmanship is sleek and modern. All parts are included as pictured. They added a nice touch of some oven mitts in brand new potholders that they cleverly used isn’t insulation in the box. There are only one drawback to this product that is that the vent is black plastic, it may not affect any performance, but that’s something I wish was that are quality material. However, I’m not familiar with other range hoods so I’m not sure if that is common or not. Adds a real statement to our kitchen, we are still waiting for our installer, but have mock fitted it into place and it’s just a huge wow. Beautiful item and it runs fabulous. This is a great upgrade for your kitchen hood. It just takes your kitchen up to a whole Nother level. Insulation was simple however, note that we did have to buy by the duct venting supplies theyre not included so we bought the coil hose and clamp and the heat resistant tape no big deal. This thing is so cool so nice. Its very quiet And the plus of having a remote control to operate to turn the lights on and off reduce section or increase section timer delay all that this is so nice another plus is you have a 10 year warranty so this is a 10 out of 10 in my opinion no more lousy clunkyhood range noises. Very impressive range hood for our mini kitchen remodel. We just had this installed by an electrician friend - took him about 2 hours, but that’s because our old one was not a plug in and he had to drill a couple holes in our cabinet. The fan works great and the lights are nice and bright. The fan is a tad loud but I don’t mind because it works so much better than our old one. Hood fan review Installation was easy but you need small hands to screw in the hood around the fan. The noise of the fan is not as quiet as I thought it was going to be but it will be fine. And that's a good thing. I love that this is 24 inches deep, covers my entire kitchen as opposed to those dinky microwave ones that only come out 15". when you burn the tortilla on the front burner, maybe half of it gets sucked up and everyone in the house knows what's going on. this is strictly a hard wired unit, as most are (meaning its not plug n play). PROS: With this one, no-one upstairs can tell what you're cooking!! comes with vent to hood connection. even on low its great. lights are bright. Cons: 3 speeds, loud, louder, and loudest. (some might mind this) Only one light setting, no brightness. No clock on this one. Instructions suck, not for your average DIYer. This con is the worse and almost a dealbreaker for me: the vent connection is an inch from the back wall, thus making it very difficult for this hood to be vented out the back. I had to cut out the back of my cabinet to allow for a flex pipe to connect to it, then make the sharp 90 that exits the wall. If they could go back to the drawing board and push this out a couple of inches, that would help a lot of people. theres plenty of room on the inside so i don't see why they designed it so close to the back. also, the puny screws they included in the bag to mount the hood are a joke. you will wanna upgrade those. and the wire nuts included are the blue ones meant for small gauge wire. no way youre connecting the 14awg stranded that came with the unit to another 14awg solid much less a 12 solid.
