If you add a box spring which ones not needed, it will be too high. The price included assembly which was nice but I believe the delivery guys damaged one of the side panels on the headboard when they opened the box, probably with a box cutter. There is a nice slice in the material. I reported it and Wayfair provided prompt assistance.
