We purchased the Aylar dining set with the 96" Table and are really happy with our purchase. It gives a really modern farm table feel. The 8 chairs that came with the set fit comfortably for this table size. We have entertained 8 guests for a dinner party and everyone fit well. I gave it 5 stars because the table itself is great. The only issue we had was with the shipment/delivery. First attempt made: They schedule a date and time so we take out our previous 8 seater dining room set. Delivery comes and they don't have the table just the chairs. So to rectify they order a replacement set. New delivery date is now about two weeks away so we bring back our old table and chairs. This was a complete inconvenience. Second delivery attempt: They again schedule a date and time which happened to be on a Monday So I take off work, remove my old dining set and then the delivery gets cancelled in the morning. At this point my husband is ready to cancel the order completely because the disconnect between shipping and customer service is really big. Upon calling they tell us it will be delivered the next day Tuesday. Tuesday comes, delivery truck is here, the drivers are fantastic, come in setup the table do a great job but now 4 chairs are missing! They call dispatch which then tells the drivers they will order replacement parts for us. At this point I'm just over it. I call customer service and they really are not empathetic at all. Not even a simple we apologize for such an inconvenience this has all been. I ask when I should expect the chairs and now the estimate is about one month later. I eventually received the chairs and I'm very happy with the table but the whole shipping/delivery experience makes me weary about ordering from Wayfair again.. Karol R.. NJ. Wed Mar 20 2024

it was easy to build following instructions though an electric allen wrench helps. The chairs are stable and feel fine for someone closer to max weight. The table expands and goes back to smaller size easily once you know what you are doing (and two people make it easier). The small size easily fits 4 people and is a great size for a small place. The color looks really nice.. Lori. Malden, MA. Sun Oct 04 2026

This table fits perfectly in a smaller dining space in our kitchen and looks great. Sturdy material and quality finish. There was a small scratch on one of the legs, but not big enough to go thru the hassle of returning.. Kevin. Mount Juliet, TN. Tue Feb 04 2020

Great table. Looks amazing. Easy to set up!. Stephen. Ridley Park, PA. Sun Dec 14 2025

The Newington Counter-Height Dining Set offers comfortable sophistication for your dining room or breakfast nook. Inspired by midcentury-modern motifs, each piece features sleek, tapered legs for an unmistakably vintage vibe. Counter-height table legs and stools are durably crafted with solid rubberwood. The tabletop is veneered MDF. The 24" counter-height stools feature linen-like upholstery in a light-gray hue, plumped with comfortable cushioning. The set includes a table and 2 stools.

As everyone else has pointed out, the assembly instructions have nothing to desire. The cushion color is more a taupe-gray. The pic isn’t portraying that. I’ll probably recover sooner than later. The wood isn’t as attractive as the photos portray - it’s not walnut looking, but more like a non-grained wood. They’re comfortable enough. We’re keeping them because I like the overall style.. I’m very happy with this dining set. It’s pretty and solid. The chairs are comfortable. I was able to assemble it without too much trouble. Tightening the nuts inside the pedestal was a pain. The tool provided was almost impossible to use but with a libelous, I got it done. I consider this purchase a good value.. Charlene. US. Tue Oct 13 2026
