So far I love these fans. Ordered them together (2) so they would match rooms that are next to each other. The light is bright enough for large rooms, but can be dimmed, It has 6 speeds which is more than my last fans (only had 3), sturdy, so much lighter than my old ones and easy to put together (per hubby). The real wood blades are nice and very light weight. The wind speed works well for our living room and kitchen. Remote is easy to use and I like that there is a timer on the fan also of 1, 4 and 8 hours. There are 3 light settings so you can choose soft, day, and very bright (the bluish type) to fit your room needs. We like the soft one for the living room and the medium one for the kitchen. I’ve been really happy with this ceiling fan overall. The design is what first caught my attention. The solid wood blades look much more upscale than typical builder-grade fans and give the room a clean modern coastal feel. It works especially well in spaces with white or light natural finishes. The fan itself is very quiet, even on the higher speeds. The reversible motor is a nice feature and the airflow has been excellent for both cooling and circulating air. The remote is simple to use and having 6 speeds gives much better control than standard lowmediumhigh fans. I also liked the adjustable light temperatures since it makes it easy to switch between warmer lighting at night and brighter white light during the day. Installation was fairly straightforward, although the instructions could have been clearer in a few spots, especially around wiring and pairing the remote. Not difficult if you’ve installed fans before, but first-time installers may need a little patience. My only real complaint is that the integrated light could be a little brighter for larger rooms, but for bedrooms, covered patios, offices, or sitting areas it’s perfectly adequate. The item arrived well packaged and installation was relatively easy. The very last part of install was the light and there were two male connections instead of a male female, but just cut the end off and hardwired it not a big deal. DC motors are manufactured with built-in permanent rare-earth magnets which enable them to produce greater power while using less electricity – about 3-5 times less electricity than standard AC motors. Standard AC motors use electricity to create magnetic poles which in turn causes the motor to rotate. With built-in magnets, the DC motor does not use the extra electricity to create the magnetic poles and therefore uses less power to function.

A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on.
