It was easy to assemble with 2 people. You almost need 2 people once is starts to be mostly together. That pressed wood can be heavy. It has that cheap backing but it all fit together well. We were able to adjust the doors so they closed nicely and then to get the seam between the doors to be small and straight. It took almost 2 hours. Third one of these that I have purchased. I found them easy to assemble, and they have a sturdy structure - love that they are solid wood (except for the backing). Have stained all with Minwax wood finish oil-based ‘Colonial Maple’ Semi-transparent interior stain. They look great ! Though the boxes had encountered some bumps and bruises, the contents within each of my shipments remained safe from harm - I would attribute that to the solid packaging. I think this is absolutely adorable. It’s very stylish and it does exactly what I need it to do BUT don’t expect it to be a heavy duty armoire. This is more for a “capsule wardrobe” or something similar. The hanging bar isn’t actually attached with screws or bolts, therefore, it’s not super sturdy. It will not hold a lot of heavy items. Currently, I have about 25-30 pieces (dresses, shirts, sweaters and pants) inside. Additionally, be aware the stock photos of this item aren’t quite accurate. They portray the item to be lighter than it appears in reality. In terms of assembly, I found this to be very simple and the directions were very clear. It took me about 1 hour start to finish.
