Third one of these that I have purchased. I found them easy to assemble, and they have a sturdy structure - love that they are solid wood (except for the backing). Have stained all with Minwax wood finish oil-based ‘Colonial Maple’ Semi-transparent interior stain. They look great ! Though the boxes had encountered some bumps and bruises, the contents within each of my shipments remained safe from harm - I would attribute that to the solid packaging. The good: - Wood quality and appearance - Matches the descriptions - Beefy packaging ensured very few damages (I guess they read the other comments) The bad: - Difficult to assemble: this is not for inexperienced assemblers. The instructions are rudimentary and you must use all clues in the drawings to correctly build this. Took me 4 hours of focused work, and that was not including unpacking and staging. - Two parts (15 and 16) had their label markers inverted, which was actually a fairly big problem and cost me 20 minutes. Very easy to put together! My husband and I assembled it in about two hours after spending a half hour organizing all the parts. I highly recommend watching the assembly video on the Grain Wood Furniture website—the video is for the two-door armoire, but it’s very similar and helpful. We’ve assembled quite a few pieces of furniture, and this one is exceptionally well made. We did make one mistake by using the wrong screw, so be sure to pay close attention to the directions. Beautiful traditional armoire. Inside the top doors, it includes a removable/adjustable shelf and a removable shirts hanger. It can also be used to store a small TV (hole for tv cables have to be drilled by customer). Bottom doors include a small shelf.

Very nice armoire. We ordered the black. Should fit a 50" diagonal TV nicely. Replaced an older, taller and deeper entertainment armoire in our family room. This armoire is the type of piece that brings old world charm to a modern space. I love how it brings a sense of story to the room. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it..
