This bed is very high-quality and is definitely different in assembly than any piece of furniture I have ever done. We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. My rating is more of a 4.5. This bed is very solid and straight forward to put together. I did have to drill out one hole because of a slight misalignment. We got the Mocha finish. Slightly lighted in person than pictured, but solid quality. No veneers or particle board here! Easy to put together. Took 2 people 30 mins with a few power tools.
