Works great for a dining room, but wouldn't work somewhere like a family room where people will be walking on it often, sitting on it, laying on it, etc. Even with a rug pad underneath it still feels rather hard and uncomfortable. For my use where you only stand on it for a few seconds while you pull out your chair and sit- totally fine and I like it a lot. I really like this wool rug. It's got some blues, teals, and a little bit of yellow in it. It isn't tightly woven like other tufted wool rugs so it is very soft for wool. I have vacuumed it three times now and it is shedding less and less. It does not clog up the vacuum. One bad thing is that every so often when I walk on it with bare feet I step on something hard and pokey. I have been able to pull out some of the pokey threads woven in, but some don't come out.
