We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. Came in a single big heavy af box, be sure to be on the watch for it especially if raining because the deliverer likely won't go through the extra trouble of placing it close to your door or under a porch if it has steps. Good idea to just unpack it outside on the porch and bring it in piece by piece because the one box is too heavy to easily drag around, and unless you have a large space you'll need the extra room to assemble..
