Very nice bed. The color is exactly what I was looking for. It was packaged nicely, found no damage issues. Solid wood, seems durable. Only issue was during the “putting together” process. One of the holes did not match up properly, so my husband did a little fixing and it all came together without damage or issue. Overall what I was looking for. It was missing some of the screws but I expected that after reading the reviews. I also let it air out as it smelled very much like unfinished wood. Although I didn’t need to sand it, there were some splintery areas (easy fix though). I used my own screwdriver as the one they provided was child-sized (still worked just not for my hands). The look of the bed frame itself is great, and the color of the headboard fabric and the frame's wood, appeared true to the photos in the listing. The bed gets a slight hit due to the time and work to put it together. For a one person job it took about 4 hours to put together, and much of that comes from the need to drill all the holes for the slats, as you'll be drilling in to the bed frame itself, and you'll want to predrill those holes (and make sure you don't over drill as it's very possible to break through the bottom and expose the sharp bottom end of the screw. The tolerances around some of the screws and holes that are predrilled are also very tight, and getting the plastic washers on isn't the easiest. So make sure to have a power drill, appropriate drill bits, and a Phillips head bit, or else this bed could take you upwards of 5 to 6 hours to put together.. Richard. Jersey City, NJ. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. Assembly takes me about 20 minutes by simply following the instructions and interlocking the components in sequence. The precision wood-on-wood joinery eliminates creaking entirely.
