The bed is definitely all hard wood. It’s not the type of hardwood you could sand and refinish in the future. It also arrived without any broken pieces. It’s a pretty bed, but we are giving it a 45 because we wanted something subtle. The bed is kind of big and the headboard is massive. There is Velcro along the slat area that helps keep everything securely in place, so the slats don’t move around easily when the bed is being used. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference. Put a ring on it. This is the one you've been waiting for. I've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a year or so now. I'd hemmed and hawed for quite some time over which bed frame to throw in this room, nothing quite hit just right. Then, this one popped up. It's simple, timeless, and minimally perfect. It goes great in a room with sloped or low ceilings. It makes a statement, but quietly and modestly. It checks all the boxes and does away with all the unnecessary bells and whistles some beds seem to have. It's lovely with honey oak floors, but truly would fit a variety of different styles. It’s versatile and has a transitional quality to it, making it easy to adapt to any aesthetic. That's a huge deal for anyone who wants to change things up every once in a while. Since it's neutral, it brings unity and cohesion to just about any style. I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. It took my husband about a half hour or so to assemble - and most of that was spent unboxing. Before putting it together, I added adhesive felt pads to the bottom legs for easy sliding and protection of wood floors. It's solid and well-engineered. It doesn't make a peep when getting on and off. I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this review if I didn't think so highly of this product. Beautiful Walnut bed frame. It looks really elegant and modern with a artsy touch. I loved it so much I bought a second one for my guest bedroom. The bed is very low but that’s something I was looking for. For the guest room I did add some bed elevation blocks only because I have items stored underneath. Very sturdy, and strong! it did take about an hour to build and it requires two people to hold some of the pieces up. It goes well with contrast deep green furniture or decor.
