Quality cupola! I installed this on a backyard shed that has a ridge vent. I cut the ridge vent as recommended in the installation instructions - a bit nerve-racking, but it turned out fine. I stapled screen on the inside of the louvered section to keep wasps from setting up house inside. I added a weather vane - the inside bracket is sturdy. Very well made!. Scott. Pleasant Grove, UT. Weathervanes have been looked up to for hundreds of years. Popular in Europe, weathervane is valued for its function as much as its design. Farmers, seafarers, and others would watch the weather vane to get the weather forecast by paying close attention to changes in breathing, an indicator of bad or good weather. It is a hand-crafted fully-functional weathervane. Yes, it will still tell you if the wind is changing direction and will look great doing so.

Looking forward to adding this to our home for a rustic farmhouse look!. Mark. San Rafael, CA. Tue Aug 05 2025
