I loveeeee this chess set so much. I have noticed a few scratches though. Not sure how to prevent this considering I’ve been treating it like a newborn baby. Beautiful, solid, and a pleasure to play on This marble chess set is even nicer in person than in the photos. The board is heavy and sits firmly on the table, and the polished marble has a natural veining that makes it look like a real piece of décor. It stays out on our coffee table even when no one is playing. The pieces are well carved and easy to tell apart, with a good weight that makes moving them satisfying. The felt on the bottoms keeps them from scratching the board and makes them glide smoothly. The two colors contrast well, so it’s easy to read the position during a game. It arrived well packed, with every piece protected and nothing chipped. The one thing to know is that marble is heavy and can chip if a piece is dropped, so it isn’t the best choice for young kids. For adults or as a gift, though, it’s excellent. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants a chess set that’s as nice to look at as it is to play on. If you tell me the brand, the colors, who you bought it for, or anything you didn’t love about it, I can make the review more specific to your set.. Ach Group. Rockville, MD. Tue Oct 13 2026

Amazing quality, beautiful! One piece came broken but was packaged very well.. Emma. Sun May 10 2026

Motion is added to an otherwise still game with the board's concave landscape that supports freely moving, weighted, playing pieces. This prize-winning chess set is made of beautifully polished maple and walnut wood and detailed with accents of chrome for a modern aesthetic.

Bought as an office piece. Looks great, fine to play on despite the wobble. From a few other comments, I was concerned that the light pieces would not be different enough in color than the dark, but that is not the case — there is an easy contrast between the two. . Richard. The perfect home accessory for offering a cerebral challenge, this mini chess set from Mexico is presented by the Sierra Family. The artisans work with onyx and marble, diligently hand-carving each tile and chess piece to display natural hues of pink and ivory. The chess set's petite size makes it the perfect home accessory for any space.

Miniature set omits to say it’s “mini” in the title. It does give the dimensions down in the description with some searching. Pictures of chess board should show it next to another object so you can clearly see its size. Not sure I would’ve purchased this for my daughter’s home if I’d known it was small. But maybe that’s the intention of omission. Luckily she likes it. Good quality. Super cute.. Brenda. Edgewater, FL. Mon Dec 25 2023

A fun game for any occasion, the four-in-a-row is perfect for all ages. With a metal-plated finish and frosted playing pieces, this elevated twist on the classic game also doubles as a unique piece of decor to display in your home. Modern brass metal finish and frosted playing pieces create an eye-catching look on any table or counter space. The metal wire stopper keeps pieces and place and provides a simple, and decorative design.

I really love the look of this game set. The design fits perfectly with my living room decor, which was honestly the main reason I purchased it. It has a much more polished and decorative look than the traditional version, so I’m happy to leave it out as part of the room. My only complaint is the way the pieces are removed after each game. Unlike the original game this is modeled after, there isn’t a release lever at the bottom, so you have to manually tip or dump the pieces out before setting it back up again. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does make resetting the game a little less convenient. Overall, I’m still happy with it because the aesthetic is exactly what I wanted.. Daynell. Dallas, TX.
