Impressive model! I haven't even removed it from the packaging as yet. I am a woodworker and planning to construct a case for it as I did for the Independence, a model I finished this year. Only question I have is about the masts when first received. Upon opening the top of the shipping box I remember all the sails were 90 degrees to the hull. Now after 2 days, all the sails are 30 degrees to the left. I included a shot looking down at the model. I was interested to know if others have noticed this or am I mistaken? Also found this after unpacking (see picture) of rear mast warped at top. Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. These came in a set of two, and we got them in white. As far as the Verner Panton style chair goes, this is the most affordable option I’ve seen out there. A lot of them go for upwards of $500 for one chair, so this is a deal. However, I’m not sure how they would compare quality-wise. These look nice and are surprisingly comfortable to sit in, but I wonder how they will hold up over a longer period, the plastic being a little thinner than I expected. Perhaps they’re all made this way. Again, without anything else to compare it to, it’s hard to say. But they provide a stylish and compact seating option and fit with our 70’s aesthetic.
