I was in search of a free standing tub that had completely straight/square sides versus the many that are sold with curves and angles. I needed this to fit in a corner without leaving spaces between the tub and wall that would either trap water or dust. This was the the one squared tub that I found within my price range, with others being 2-3 times as much for some reason, so I bought it in the only version available at the time (glossy gray). It's here now, I've opened the box to take a look and it is really beautiful and substantial while also being a foot shorter in length than the alcove tub it's replacing (space that I was eager to gain in a small bathroom). I'm really excited to get it installed and will be putting in a fixed glass panel on the non-wall end and a pivoting glass panel door along the exposed side since it will get the most use as a shower. I ordered the 55" and I'm 5'5 and can fully stretch out my legs so huge plus! the curve on the back also seems very ergonomic, so I think this will be a very comfortable soaker! As far as quality, this thing seem solid. I wanted solid surface for the heat retention but bonus that this doesn't have any of the creaks/give that a fiberglass/acrylic tub has. Delivery was also very smooth, and my tub looks perfect (no marks, scratches, or other blemishes I've seen in other reviews). The first tub was damaged during shipping but Wayfair replaced it. I had seen the same tub a little cheaper somewhere else but bought it from Wayfair due to their excellent customer service. Love the updated look the tub gives our bathroom. I do like the step but you can’t really sit back and soak in deep water unless you sit at the other end and put your feet on the step.
