These come in many sizes and all have flush sides to build a wall of bookcases. These are built using the design elements from Stickley, Roycroft, and Charles Rene Macintosh. The design of this furniture creates a simple, yet elegant look. These are also high quality and budget-priced. No particle board, pressboard, or MDF is used in these bookcases. They have adjustable shelves. They ship fully assembled.

I ordered 4 of the large book cases and 4 of the smaller ones same style to make my built in unit for my office. The shelves were very fast and easy to put together. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. Mission Open Shelf Bookcase - Walnut is a bookcase without door/s with an overall dimension of: 39.5" W x 12.5" D x 80" H. Our Mission/Arts & Crafts style furniture is made with attention to detail and expertise like that of 100 year old Stickley. This is made of Quarter sawn white oak which is known for its durability, Mortise and Tenon Joinery, with 2 drawers, 4 shelves, walnut stain with a hand rubbed finish, and drawers with dovetail drawer fronts and metal glides. Make sure to remember that there is no assembly required for this product and is available in Walnut and Michael's Cherry stain.

We did have to replace the broken magnetic door latches and there was minor damage to the back corner, but nothing noticeable. It looks like it happened before delivery transport since it was padded so well. Its a beautiful piece. Its so hard to find solid wood furniture. Well probably get another one we have our eye on!. I really like that this real wood. That was the selling point for my purchase. No MDF or particle board. It’s not solid oak or anything like that, but it is indeed real wood. What I think could be improved is labeling the pieces for assembly. Even little stickers would help. I understand I’m not building a rocket ship, but trying to figure out which side is which would be helpful. What I didn’t like. When I tapped down the top of the bookcase I had to use a little force. One of the dowels popped right through the top and left a good-sized hole. Overall, it’s the least expensive real wood bookshelf I could find in my price range. It’s not much more expensive than an MDF or Particle board bookshelf. I hope I can repair the hole with wood glue and some sanding.. Dawson Fowler. Summerville, SC. Sat Jan 03 2026

Many of our traditional styles have a through-mortise joint detail that pays homage to early American furniture design. Though it isn’t structurally necessary anymore due to modern furniture-making techniques, you will still like the look and appreciate the aesthetic feels it can provide you. It has wood door knobs, solid White Oak with a medium-dark stain finish, 3 fixed shelves, 2 doors with glass panels, and through-mortise detail on side panels.
