This is a solid piece of furniture. It’s not some cheap “put it together yourself” desk. The actual desk part arrives as a solid piece, you only need to attach the legs. I was looking to downsize my home office desk and wanted a minimalist look. This checked all my boxes. Reviews were spot on regarding it being sturdy and easy to put together. It did come with a few minor dings, but they weren’t visible. The only issue was the drawer had a small cracksplit in it. Something to note the drawer cannot be replaced on its own. I reached out to Wayfair about a new drawer and they were prepared to replace the entire desk. Since everything else was great, I opted to keep it. My husband glued it it came out meh lol, but fortunately the drawer is tucked underneath, so it’s not a deal breaker. I love the look and the colors. Drawer operates well too. The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. This desk is even better than I expected! It’s very sturdy and feels like hard wood (not a scrap of veneer in sight!) and is a perfect little writing desk. It’s going in our guest room so it’ll get light use but it’s definitely up to the challenge for daily use. The wood is similar in tone and texture to butcher block but adds good warmth to the room. Assembly was incredibly easy! Just needed to attach the legs with a few bolts and switch the drawer pulls from the inside of the drawers to the outside. ~10 job even with the unboxing!. Meli. This is a well built, small to medium sized desk. It might be the chair I have but it is a little tight for my legs underneath the desk either way the drawers.
