This desk is countertop height. I did not read the measurements as I assumed it was a standard desk height. I took 5 inches off each leg with a saw and it looks great. A little more work than I wanted to do but this is a solid well constructed desk. The top is preassembled you just have to assemble the legs. Very easy. This desk is gorgeous and great quality. It is exactly as it looks in the images and the color is beautiful. It was fairly easy to assemble, just go show and step by step. I did it by myself, but there is one step that you definitely want a second person to help with. It's the one where you have to hold two panels at the same time. So when you reach that step, don't try it without a friend, otherwise you risk damaging the piece. Different in a good way! This is exactly the look I wanted, and I'm thrilled the cream color part is NOT painted wood. Its linear versus L-shape placement options are appealing too. We chose the former for this spot but like knowing that can change. One caution: assembly is time consuming and you’d better study and follow the pictorial instructions, not just wing it! This is a sweet little desk... however, the first desk I received arrived with 3 legs and a beat up desk. Clearly it had been returned and re sold. Customer service at Wayfair is spectacular...
