Mid Century Barometer

This traditional weather station is both a work of art and an instrument at home in any fine study, library, office, or upscale restaurant. The classic weather station measures barometric pressure (liquid). The antique weather station displays an air of quality and accuracy one would expect with a fine, handcrafted weather instrument from Ambient Weather. The concept that 'decreasing atmospheric pressure predicts stormy weather' was postulated by Lucien Video -- and it's the basis for a weather prediction device called a storm glass or liquid barometer. It consists of a glass container with a sealed body, half filled with water. A narrow spout connects to the body below the water level and rises above the water level, where it is open to the atmosphere. When the air pressure is lower than it was at the time the body was sealed, the water level in the spout will rise above the water level in the body and when the air pressure is higher, the water level in the spout will drop below the water level in the body.

Analog weather readings that get down to brass tactics. The Analog Dial Barometer tracks atmospheric pressure on a compact 4-inch dial with dual scales—inches of mercury and hectopascals—so you can read changing conditions before they arrive. The brass slimline frame and metal pointer give it a striking contrast against the UV-protected colored dial that belongs on any wall. Durable construction and a domed protective glass lens mean it's built to hold up wherever you hang it. No batteries, no Wi-Fi, no waiting on a forecast—just brass, glass, and your own read on the weather.

Pretty but so far not too accurate!. Jana. Mora, NM. Thu Aug 27 2026

Bring style and flair to your outdoor space with our indoor/outdoor Jardin combination wall clock, hygrometer, and thermometer. The metal frame with its birds and floral design is on a hinge, so will fold down for a more compact unit should you choose to move it or store it at any time. The clock, hygrometer and thermometer each measure 7-1/4" in diameter. The thermometer measures the ambient temperature from -40°F to 140°F, while the hygrometer measures the humidity from 0 to 100 degrees. The overall dimensions of the unit are 26" W x 17-1/4" H x 2" D. Please hang this beautiful timepiece out of direct sunlight to ensure proper operation for years to come.

I just love it! We needed a clock/thermometer combo for our patio that could be seen from the house (my husbands desk looks out on the patio) and be heavy enough that it wouldn't fly off when things get windy where we live. (We get micro-bursts as well as high MPH winds where we live...) I also wanted something good looking. This hit all the marks, was a great value for what it is, plus it has a Hygrometer, which tracks humidity. The back of the unit "key holes" sit down over the screw heads and the clock itself is weighty and broad. Between both of those features, I expect it will stay put even in the windiest conditions we get around here. Love the vintage look and that it blends in and almost becomes one with the painted wood corbel out on the patio. It also came well-packaged, I'm very pleased with this purchase!. Melissa. Bring vintage-inspired science style to a desk, mantel, or bookcase with this clear glass Galileo thermometer. The sealed liquid-filled tube holds 11 colored floating glass bubbles, each weighted with an engraved metal temperature tag. Slim and vertical, the source title lists it at 22" H x 2.25" diameter with a 3.5" base, though the current copy lists 23.5" H and should be verified.

I was surprised at the quality versus price. I found this unit very accurate in the readings compared to various other sources. I bought this unit together with the matching barometer and liked the looks so much that I followed my original order with an order for the matching clock. I will make a mounting board for all three units. This was a very good investment in quality instruments that meets my needs at an affordable price... Thomas. Abilene, TX. Thu Jan 20 2022

I love these clocks. This is my 3rd one in the past 25ys. They get old and stop working . The last one got blown off by a wind storm and busted the glass in it. I have it on my covered porch. The first one I ordered was made out of metal. Very well made. The last 2 I have got are made out of plastic even the hook. Even though they have lasted a while I like the metal better. Plastic looks cheap. Can't find metal anymore.. Sharon. Livermore, KY. Fri Jul 10 2026
