This is a solid stool and very well constructed. Keep in mind that it does not fold so it will always be open just as it looks in the photos.. The chrome base is sturdy and quite level. When you touch the metal base, it will not leave fingerprints behind, which is incredible!. The stool sits firmly on the ground, and there is no teetering at all. I like the faux leather seat. I wish that were a little glossier or had a sheen to it because then it would look more like leather. There’s no assembly required at all for this piece and it really could fit in pretty much any decor style and can be used as a foot rest or it would look really beautiful with some books placed on it, but I would not use it as a plant stand or for something heavy. This is a really nice stool! I got it for my ‘dressing room’, so I’ll be placing it there once I make a space. The stool arrived safely and was packaged very well as to avoid any damage. Super easy assembly! Just attach the top and you’re set! The cushion is nice and thick and firm. The cushion color is very neutral so it will work in any space. Perfect for just about any decor…farmhouse, glam, art deco, etc. I love the gold finish on the legs. My husband wants to now buy the darker color for his office music room!. Donna. US. Contemporary and clean looking lines. Very easy to assemble, 4 bolts per chair. They are very firm, so if you are looking for cushy, this is not it. I got gray and they look perfect in my kitchen.
