It has completely transformed her room into a cozy, magical space. The quality of the bed is impressive, and once assembled, it feels sturdy and well-made. The only reason I didn’t give assembly a perfect score is that the instructions could have been much clearer. Putting it together was time-consuming and somewhat challenging because some of the directions were difficult to follow. Patience and an extra set of hands are definitely helpful during assembly. The bed arrives in 3 heavy boxes. The directions are not as clear as building LEGOs, but we were able to follow them. There are a lot of pieces, so it took quite a few hours to assemble. Some of the pieces were scuffed and slightly damaged upon arrival, but not bad enough that we wanted them to be replaced. The bed is large and heavy when it's completely done, so make sure you have it where you want it as you complete the last few steps. The light in the shelf is cool, but the controls to turn it on/off are kind of weird, and the instructions suggest putting it in a place that you can't reach once the bed is assembled, so that doesn't make any sense. A piece to this bed broke the first week we had put it together. The piece where the child pulls on to get up the ladder is very flimsy and poorly designed. My husband tried to make a new piece 2x of the same part with no success, so finally just made a completely different design for that piece for the bed so it was much stronger to withhold the weight it needed to.
