On one of his many travels, Gervex was commissioned to paint portraits of the Czar Nicholas II and the Russian royal family. Unfortunately I misread the description. I thought this was going to be 2-sided, but it's not, it's only 1-sided. So we purchased a 2nd one and will put them back-to-back.
