The chairs were carefully packed to avoid damage. The assembly instructions were fairly easy to follow except for the part with the chair stretchers. That was a bit confusing and I had to reassemble it to make it fit right. Also some of the holes were difficult to align. Once the chairs were completely assembled, they appeared very sturdy and solidly built. The white linen fabric is beautiful and will match most decors. I ordered 4 of these chairs for my dining room table and they are very nice. The seats are a nice crisp white and are soft, no need to break them in. They are solid wood, painted a dark black, exactly what I was looking for. It was super easy putting them together.
