A famous cooking TV show and publication rated Tramontina next to the All Clad, which was a little over 3 times more than the Tramontina Signature. I decided that since I'm not a professional chef, or even aspiring to be, the Tramontina would suit me just fine. I had just donated my porcelain coated cast iron because of its weight and arthritis in my hands and wrists, so needed a replacement. This pot is awesome ! It can cook a small to extra large batch of just about anything. In addition, I use when home canning so I get double use out of it in that manner. If I decide to keep something in in overnight, it easily fits into my frog because of the flat lid. It saves room in my cabinets too due to the flat lid. I own 2 of these now. I’ve used the first one for about 2 years and have had no problems. I do always use soft utensils when stirring so as not to scratch the inside of it. This is expensive for a single pot in my opinion but I was willing to pay the extra because of its size and versatility and the way in which it has held up over several years.
