“Modern luxury” is absolutely correct. It is beautiful. Everyone who comes into my office compliments it. They usually come up and run their hand over the top, it looks and feels wonderful. This desk is very solid and heavy. It assembled relatively easily. The drawers came assembled which is great. The only difficulty in assembly was aligning holes that cannot be seen easily. One very nice feature that was not explained in the description is that the drawers and slanted leg can be reversed so you can orient the slanted leg on either side of that matters in your particular set up.. This desk is gorgeous and great quality. It is exactly as it looks in the images and the color is beautiful. It was fairly easy to assemble, just go show and step by step. I did it by myself, but there is one step that you definitely want a second person to help with. It's the one where you have to hold two panels at the same time. So when you reach that step, don't try it without a friend, otherwise you risk damaging the piece. Also the back panel didn't really align very well, but my desk is against a wall, so that is not a concern for me. But watch out if you plan to have the back of the desk visible.. Vanessa. Different in a good way! This is exactly the look I wanted, and I'm thrilled the cream color part is NOT painted wood. Its linear versus L-shape placement options are appealing too. We chose the former for this spot but like knowing that can change. One caution: assembly is time consuming and you’d better study and follow the pictorial instructions, not just wing it!
