First of all I love it! I could not believe though that the shelves were not made of clear glass so the lights illuminate both the top and bottom. So I bought two 11X14 picture frames, cheap at the dollar store, and used just the glass and the frame as shelves. They fit perfectly. I then used one of the wood shelves as a base for my subwoofer. I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This is the second electric fireplace I have gotten and the other one I got was by a different brand and while I really like it, I like this one even more for its very subtle controls. I had to really zoom in so you can see them. From standing height you cannot see the switch and you cannot see the blacked out controls on the face of the fireplace.
