My 10 year old has the top bunk and my 2 year old has the bottom.. while it is a beautiful bed, I will say that when my 10 year old at 110 pounds moves around you can definitely feel movement and wobbling from below, but there is a steel bar that runs underneath the top bunk that reassures me that it is secure. It took us a about 3 hours to build, just make sure that the headboard and footboard are in the right facing position bc we had to redo ours. I also will note that the headboard and footboard slats dont fit in snuggly and are wobbly. Pine wood is a softer wood and I am already aware of some dings and dents but am still happy that this is not an MDF product so should hope last still for some years. Overall, still a better price point than big box stores and the value is there for us and our family. Would recommend knowing that its not perfect but functional.. Kerisah. Matthews, NC. This bed came with two boxes that arrived on separate dates. I was excited about it at first, but have been feeling a bit, overwhelmed with the idea of having to build it now. I am updating my review after building the bed. It took two men to build 3 12 hours. The instructions on where to place the ladder could’ve been made more clear. The wood is very solid nice smooth finish the white oak is nice. I don’t think that this bed would show well.
