The polished rims really look nice in person and dress up the dish set. Love the “lip” around the edge - allowing better management of the food on the plate from the edge. I love, love, love this dish set. The stoneware is high quality. The coating on them almost seems like porcelain but with the sturdy weight of stoneware. The ribbed texture and two toned design are my favorite thing. It makes the dishes look very modern and distinct.
