Flaming June is a painting by Sir Frederic Leighton, produced in 1895. Painted with oil paints on a 47-by-47-inch (1,200 mm × 1,200 mm) square canvas, it is widely considered to be Leighton's magnum opus, showing his classicist nature. It is thought that the woman portrayed alludes to the figures of sleeping nymphs and naiads the Greeks often sculpted. Flaming June disappeared from view in the early 1900s and was rediscovered only in the 1960s. It was auctioned shortly after, during a period of time known to be difficult for selling Victorian era paintings, where it failed to sell for its low reserve price of US$140 (the equivalent of $1,126 in modern prices). After the auction, it was promptly purchased by the Museo de Arte de Ponce in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where it currently resides.

With a tenderness that comforts, two majestically-winged angels carry a dear departed soul through the clouds and toward the light. While mourning the loss of both sons and his wife within a two-year period, Frenchman Bouguereau turned his creative energies and his love for rich color toward this cathartic work that continues to soothe well into its second century. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. The replica 4.375" wide, European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.

"The School of Athens" (1509-1511) by Raphael is a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance, located in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace. The fresco depicts an idealized gathering of great philosophers and scholars from ancient Greece, including figures like Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, and Pythagoras, set in an elaborate, classical architectural space. The composition emphasizes intellectual harmony and the pursuit of knowledge, with each figure arranged to reflect their ideas and interactions. Raphael’s use of perspective, light, and color creates a sense of depth, making this work a symbol of Renaissance humanism and intellectual achievement.

The Fall of the Damned, alternately known as The Fall of the Rebel Angels is a monumental c. 1620 religious painting by Peter Paul Rubens. It features a jumble of the bodies of the damned, hurled into abyss by archangel Michael and accompanying angels.

The marriage of one family of Italian merchants to another is immortalized in this wedding portrait of Giovanni Arnolfini and Giovanna Cenami, wed in Bruges in 1434. Two images that wish the couple well, a solitary candle symbolizing God's presence and a carved image of St. Margaret, patron saint of women in childbirth, join the author's signature in the Gothic calligraphy to indicate his attendance at this ceremony. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. With bas-relief organic styling, the multi-tiered, replica European style 3.25" wide frame is cast in quality designer resin and highlighted with an aged gold-toned finish. Proudly printed and framed using imported molding.

In the genre of the sacra conversazione, or sacred conversation, the Holy Mother and Child convey timeless truths with their simple presence as Mary Magdalene and a young John the Baptist look on. An accomplished secular and sacred artist who belonged to the Scuola di San Marco, il Vecchio was known for his tender portraits and soft Venetian colors. Would agree with other reviewers that the print is a bit dark. For example, a lot of the details on the boat are so dark they are lost. I was not impressed with the pallet wood the canvas was stretched on, it seemed like it was seconds in terms of quality. The aforementioned gripes are my only complaints about this, I do love it overall.. Anonymous. Fri May 08 2026

In a work that takes liberties with time, a Risorgimento patriot says goodbye before going off to war. Though the departure of lovers remained the same, The Kiss was painted to celebrate the victories of a war 500 years later he Second War of Independence in 1859. Hayez was the leading artist of Italian romanticism, renowned for his historical paintings and coveted portraits. The authentic stretched canvas replica captures the original painting's texture, depth of color, and even its brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. It is surrounded by an imported, antique gold-toned, delicately sculpted 4" wide designer resin frame with a leaf motif. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.

Forsaken passion trembles within this riveting watercolor painting by Victorian artist, Burton. This richly detailed Gothic work is an illustration of forbidden love from the Danish ballad of Hellelil and Hildebrand, prince of Engellend. Pre-Raphaelite in style, the brilliant intense hue of this Medieval image is similar to that of an oil painting. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. This replica European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.

The painting is smaller than I had envisioned, but that's my fault. The dimensions were for the picture and the frame; I should have realized that. However, my husband thinks it's the perfect size for a wall in our living room. It replaced a framed photo of the Grand Canyon that we no longer noticed, and this Victorian watercolor is more apropos for our Arts & Crafts decor. Now I'm jonesing for "La Belle Dame Sans Merci," but that will have to wait due to the rising cost of living.. Art Nouveau. Flagstaff. Thu Jan 01 2026
