Living in central Texas makes for hot nights. This bedspread is perfect for this climate. It is lightweight, yet heavy enough to keep you warm on cool nights. Being 100 cotton makes it ideal if you sleep hot. It doesn’t trap bodyheat like polyester does. I recommend washing it before putting it on the bed. It has a LOT of lintfuzz from the embroidery. The shams came mostly as pictured. 4 stars because the ruffles are rough edges without any reinforcement. The matching quilt came showing what those ruffles will look like over time.
