It is beautiful and feels heavy and stable. It does not squeak or move around. I placed the bed on the carpet and the drawers still move in and out easily. Drawers are made of solid wood. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. I do love the bed. One suggestion: I tried to get the shipping date changed before I even placed the order. You cannot change it online. So I called and was told by an associate that it could be done. It was a difficult process and in the end, the bed was delivered on the original date! This bed is very well made and super sturdy. All the parts and screws fit together perfectly. It came securely wrapped and packed. It took my husband and I 6 hours to put together. Instructions could be a little more clear. It’s all pictures and some of them are tiny and not so easy to decipher. Something to think about when considering whether to pay the $86 for someone to come assemble it for you. The drawers slide gently and align perfectly. They are lined inside with the sturdy pressed wood material and reinforced on the bottom to hold weight. They aren’t wire cages as I have seen in other drawer beds. For starters, a striking two-tone design is produced by allowing large blocks of high gloss white to be interrupted by dark, metallic gray gaps. The headboard and case good panels all feature this bold color contrast. True to modern pieces, drawer handles are out of sight, as the gaps serve as concealed pulls as well. Look closer, and you’ll notice how the gaps themselves are not even in width; this purposeful asymmetry adds more to the appeal and modern vibe.

Worked with Wayfair and the supplier when two side rails of the same type were sent. The storage units roll freely, unattached to the bed itself and can go deep under the bed if pushed too far.
