The chairs are beautiful and well made. The packaging box looks roughly handled. But the chairs are not damaged. They are obviously pretty strong. The bottoms of the chair legs have pads to protect the floor. The floor protectors are a little misaligned but they do not show when the chair is upright. Only negative I would say is that the back, which is not padded, is low and not very comfortable if you are sitting a little slumped. But it is fine if sitting up straight. They are well worth the sale price. But they are not so wonderful that they warrant the original price. Overall these are nice chairs for the price. They seem comfortable — I haven’t spent a ton of time sitting in them yet, but my cats absolutely love lounging on them, so that’s a good sign . A couple things to note: the armrest placement feels a bit off — it’s not super comfortable to actually rest your arms on them. The style kind of reminds me of a doctor’s office waiting room, which isn’t bad but not exactly the vibe I expected. Assembly was mostly easy, but one frustrating part is that there are no pre-drilled screw holes on the bottom. You’re pretty much guessing where to screw the seat in, which was a little annoying. I really love these chairs. They are sturdy, great quality, and the wood is beautiful. They were also a great price. My only complaint is they are bluish gray and not actually charcoal as pictured and advertised, which is not at all what I was going for. I've added a picture of them against a gray wall in my home. I’m giving 4 stars for the customer service not the product. I bought the chairs in the walnut color, but they look nothing like the photos online. They are very orange and I was expecting a medium to dark brown. Additionally, if anything touches the seat it’s going to immediately stain and there is no cleaning them and they smell like chemicals. I went to process the return online but it wanted to charge me $100. I called customer service and asked them to please waive the charge for my return since the product was drastically different from what is advertised and they honored it. I wouldn’t suggest this product but will continue to purchase from wayfair because of my positive experience.
