The packaging material appeared to be deteriorating, and every piece was coated in white fiber particles. I had to spend half an hour wiping everything down with a damp rag before assembly. There were several minor imperfections in the coating, especially on the edges of the drawer fronts, and some minor scratches on the drawer bottoms.
