The cushions are made of that olefin fabric, which is great because it doesnt fade in the sun and handles the occasional drizzle just fine, plus being able to zip off the covers and toss them in the wash is a lifesaver with kids around. Just a heads-up, though the cushions are definitely on the firmer side, so dont expect them to be super squishy or like a living room sofa. Assembly is a breeze and can be done in about 10 minutes by one person, as everything you need comes in the box.
