Very simple to put together. Getting the covers on the cushions was a little tricky but after doing two I figured it out quickly.To get rid of the wrinkles others have mentioned,as you are zipping the covers reach inside and adjust the cushion.Try to make sure all corners are filled. Also I bought some strips of velcro to make sure the cushions stay in place. Oh make sure you have a person help with getting the back put in. It makes it a little easier. Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. This couch is really pretty! I love all the details-the scrolling arms, nailhead trim, and spindle legs elevate the look. The leather is soft and the cushions are super comfortable to sit on. This was worth waiting for. Beautiful lines, and nice and firm. It's hard to find a new sofa that won't look anachronistic in a vintage 1930 home, but this does the trick. A pleasant surprise is that it sits a little higher than I expected. The fabric is soft to touch, and it comes with two matching square pillows. I'm delighted with this sofa! I haven’t had this couch for 24 hours yet but my initial impression is that I am highly satisfied. The cushions are firm (I wanted that), it sits fairly high so I won’t get stuck in it.
