They are lovely in person. I love love love the deep tones of the brushed gold hardware on them. It is not shown in the photos but the top piece matches the rod and it's all very high end looking. These are not lightweight and cheap, they are heavy and stylish. I think the cream color with the crackle finish gives them a nice interesting look without committing to a metallic for the whole pendant and also without being plain glass or plain white. This is adorable BUT it was so hard to put up. The bracket doesn’t fit on a standard width junction box and so I sort of had to just use one screw and wedge the other side so it would stay. Hard to explain. An electrician could’ve probably come up with a better solution. These are great lights - very sharp looking and - yes, the top of the light IS wood - which is so cool! They're relatively easy to put together and adjust to length. The only complaint I have, is that they are lightweight, so it takes some time for the heavy cords to straighten out after you install them. Other than that, they're exactly what the room needed.
